On Sale Right Now: Macy's

I went to Macy's, just to browse casually and it turned out the shoes were on clearance at 65% off. I didn't buy any, but if I were to, I would have gotten one out of these 4 pairs. I didn't really check the other sizes but these were available in mine (8.5 to 10).

Brought Out My Jeans Skirt

I had to attend a bridal shower recently and up to 40 minutes prior to my scheduled departure; I found my sitting on my bed with absolutely nothing to wear. As I took a mental scan of my pieces, I remembered a below knee jeans skirt I bought from New York and Company about a year ago. I used color as the main focus by incorporating it with my bag and shoes.

Korto Momolu Exclusively at Dillard's

I was pretty excited to read that Dillard's would carry Korto designs. She was one of my fave designers on Project Runway.  However Dillard's actually only carry her accessories line and the prices, well they are anything but frugal. Jewelry pieces range from $12.00 to $78.00 while handbags range $99.00 to $159.00. The necklaces are pretty beautiful but honestly nothing to make me shout out loud. The handbags are ok as well. The next time I go to the mall, I'm going to check these items out in person. You can visit Dillard's for a peek at Korto's offerings.

Floral and Stripes

I remember while growing up, I followed the rule "different patterns don't mix". Well I'm glad I’m over that. I now know that different patterns and textures can be worn simultaneously to create interesting and visually appealing looks. For me, I try not to make both patterns bold. I usually depend on the floral pattern to make the statement and use the stripes as the compliment.

Simple Look on Amber Rose

Amber Rose is one of those chicks you just love or loathe. I happen to love her style, well most of the time. Granted she makes some risky and lets be honest, stripper attire, but hey she was a stripper. What can you expect? Her body is banging and I really like her hair. But anyway while reading one of my fave gossip blogs, YBF, they spotted Mrs. Kanye West at the Laura Smalls fashion show, and boy did she look AH-mazing. The one-shoulder trend in definatley in this season.

Here are some more affordable options that may provide the one shoulder look you may be looking for.

And just as a bonus, I like these shoes that may work well with any one of these dresses. I really like black and gray together. I think it's a very classic look. So naturally now I'll be on the hunt for gray pumps since unfortunatley I currently do not own a pair.

Naomi Campbell Looks FIERCE!!!

Can we take a look at the hotness that is Ms. Campbell. She graced the catwalk at her own fashion relief for Haiti show. Her dress and shoes are designed by the late wonderful Alexander McQueen. She looks beyond FABULOUS. I love everything about this look. Let's all drool for a moment

Thigh-High Boots? Yes Please!

Wow can't believe it's been so long since my last post. I'm happy to report I'm back at 100% after my whole ordeal with influenza. Classes have also been kicking my butt, but I'm glad to back to posting and doing what I love to do.
Today I'm going to address over-the-knee and thigh-high boots. This trend is not new but somehow the lines between hooker wear and chic style has been blurred and quite frankly I love it. I'll be going out of town in a few weeks to colder climates so I now have an urgent need to warmer clothing. I'm taking this as a perfect opportunity to wear said boots and might I add look fierce while doing so.

I love the looks on all these ladies. I'm still desperately hunting for a similar mini dress that Amber Rose is rocking.

CVS Beauty Haul

I'm back folks. Well partially at least. I still have a fever but otherwise I feel much better. I'm so thankful for other bloggers. I was made aware of the beauty sale by Nouveau Cheap and Niki at Cheapalicious. Just when I thought I missed out on the bargains, I was able to grab some stuff. I bought this stuff about 2 weeks ago before I got ill, but according to Nouveau Cheap you can still get some items from the sale even now.
The Eye/Face Stuff

The Lip Stuff

OK I went a little loco on this sale. If you're trying to build your make-up game but really don't want to spend too much, then drugstores are your friend. Walgreens and CVS is invaluable to me when I need to replenish my make-up supply. I always check out iheartwags and iheartcvs to see what items will be on sale and plan accordingly.
