Brought Out My Jeans Skirt

I had to attend a bridal shower recently and up to 40 minutes prior to my scheduled departure; I found my sitting on my bed with absolutely nothing to wear. As I took a mental scan of my pieces, I remembered a below knee jeans skirt I bought from New York and Company about a year ago. I used color as the main focus by incorporating it with my bag and shoes.

New York and Company Purse Mini Haul

So I went to NY&Co to check out their sale. This trip would have been a complete bust had it not been for all the wonderful purses that were on sale. I only bought purses and 2 belts. It took 2 separate trips to 2 different malls but alas I rose victorious. These were my honorable mentions

Turnlock Hobo Bag  (bought in the medium pink) This doesn't look as plastic in person

Pleated Flap Bag- (shared the love on this one. Bought in plum and teal for me and brown for a friend) This bag is perfect for school. It has just enough room for my text book and I could probably fit my laptop in as well. Sweet

Paneled Stretch Belt- ( Bought in gunmetal...fancy word for silver..ha) This was one that I really just had to have. It's beautiful in person.

That's not all folks. I bought 2 other purses which I'm just in love with. I have to take pics of them to post because I just love them so much and I cant seem to find them online.

SIDE NOTE: One of my readers sent me an email coupon for 30% off in stores as well. Shoot me an email and I will gladly forward this to you. Thanks TH.

New York and Company Sale

I love NY&Co and I usually find great bargains there. However I've been less than impressed with my last few visits there. They now have a up to 70% off clearance with an additional 30% off online only. Is this new sale enough to make me get out of bed and make the trip to the mall? Yea probably. The online deals are awesome I'm actually pretty excited. Here are a few that I'll be looking out for :

Paneled Stretch Belt- $6.99

Metallic Brocade Pencil Skirt-$19.99

Velvet Tunic Dress- $9.99

Knit Tunic Dress- $9.99

Embellished Necklace Statement Tunic-$14.99

Faux Leather Bomber Jacket-$44.97

This is just a few that caught my eye without digging too much. These prices do not include that extra 30% off. As much as I hate paying shipping cost, I just might have to bite the bullet if some of these are not in stores. Shipping would cost me around $10 so if my potential savings of the 30% outweighs the prices i would pay instore plus shipping, it would then be worth it to buy online. I'll still go to the mall tomorrow with my calculator and pen in hand to compare prices and check how the sizes fit.

Toned Down Look For A Funeral Viewing

I had my friends viewing this past Friday. It was of course a very sad occasion. So I wore something very basic but still put together.

Jeans,Top,Flower: New York and Company.
Shoes: Steve Madden
I do want to mention something about these jeans, they are AWESOME. I regret listening to my mom when I bought them they were only $15 at the outlet store. This upsets me because these retail for $46.89!! Since I'm on a diet when I achieve my goal these jeans will no longer fit so wanted to buy a second pair 1 size smaller. This pic doesn't do any justice for these jeans. I'll have to remember to post a better pic  the next time I wear them.

New York and Company Mini Haul

Today I visited NY&Co to see if I can take advantage of the new up to 70% off sale and also to use my coupon discussed in this post. I was more impressed with the sale items this time around. Beutiful 50% off signs were all over and I loved every second of it. I bought 10 items in total today and my total was $43.90. Between the store markdowns and my coupon i saved....... wait for it.................. $195.72
Here a few of the items I got:

BTW: I did get a new city cash coupon good from Nov 11- Nov 15 for $15 off of a $30 purchase.

On Sale Right Now: New York and Company

A couple of things are taking place with NY&Co as of today.
1. The previous clearance items are now up to 70% off. I browsed online and noticed that a few of the items I featured and purchased in this post and this post, has been marked down even further.
2. The discount threshold has changed. Before it was "Take $30 OFF $75 purchase or $50 OFF $125" now it's "Take $20 OFF $60 purchase or  $40 OFF $120 purchase. It's only a $5 difference for the lowest amount but with better markdowns on the items you should be able to get more bang for your buck.

The last time I visited NY&Co, I was given 2 city cash passes. They usually give out 1 but I had a little "tiff" and got a second one for my issue. Anyway, not sure if they'll be giving them out again but I'll report tomorrow if they do.

Today's Buys

So today was the day I had been waiting for. I had my NY&Co savings pass in hand and I anticipated doing some serious damage at NY&Co. I must say I was a little disappointed today. As some of you may already know, I refuse to pay retail. NY&Co did not have a very large clearance section this time. I voiced my disappointment to cashier and was able to get an additional city cash pass for Novemeber11 through November 15.  I was able to grab 3 staple items:
Scoop Tee- Orginal Price $18.95 Paid $9.95
.
Brown Croc Belt- Original Price $19.95 Paid $11.97

My Favorite buy for today:`
Sleeveless Ruffle Dress: Orginal Price $42.95 Paid $12.88
Let me tell you, this dress is awesome!! It's soft, light and fits perfectly in all the right places.

Today's Savings: $57.05
I can do math I promise. I had an additional $10.00 in savings thanks to my savings pass.

Get Yours Now !

Head on over to your local New York and Company (NY&Co) store and pick up your very own savings pass (SP). The SP is valid from September 24 to October 4. NY&Co issues these usually 3 or 4 times a quarter with different spend thresholds. This particular one is as follows:

Spend $30- take $10 off
Spend $60- take $25 off
Spend $90- take $40 off

The awesome thing about this is it doesn't matter what you purchase on that day clearance included, you will get the entire dollar amount off. So let’s do the math ladies. Really easy, buy $90 worth of merchandise but you only pay $50. NY&Co is almost letting me rob them blind and I like it. So now you're probably asking "Jan-nini, how can I get my own SP?" Well its really simple walk into NY&Co and buy something, anything, and you get the SP stapled to your receipt. It's that easy.
